Ledgio is a personal finance app for recording income and expenses, with optional on-device receipt scanning. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information.
Data stored on your device
All data you create in Ledgio — transactions, amounts, categories, merchants, notes, and any receipt images you scan — is stored only in a local database on your device. It is never uploaded to us or to any third party. We have no servers that receive your data and we cannot access it.
If you uninstall the app, this data is removed by the operating system. You can export your own data to a CSV file at any time (Settings → Export), which you control and may share wherever you choose.
Camera and photos
If you choose to scan a receipt, the app uses your camera or a photo you select. Image text recognition (OCR) runs entirely on your device using on-device machine-learning models. Receipt images and their recognized text are never sent off the device.
Optional on-device AI model
Ledgio includes an optional, off-by-default AI feature that improves receipt extraction. If — and only if — you turn this feature on, the app downloads an AI model file from a public model host (e.g. Hugging Face / Kaggle) to your device. This download transfers a model file to you; it does not send any of your data anywhere. Once downloaded, the model runs fully offline on your device. If you never enable this feature, the app makes no network requests for it.
The INTERNET permission the app requests exists solely for this optional
one-time model download.
Data sharing
We do not share your data with anyone, because we never receive it in the first place.
Children's privacy
Ledgio does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a new "Last updated" date.
